In 2024, Karen just directed two projects based on her original scripts: the first is a feature film “Armageddon Road,” a darkly comedic supernatural road trip set in 1970s Las Vegas, with a sly riff on the Biblical Book of Revelation. The feature was shot almost entirely in the volume wall using miniature cars and sets: a groundbreaking combination of past and cutting edge technology. And the second project is Karen’s tenth short horror film, “Mrs. Chang’s Perfect Teeth,” which won the Director’s Guild of Canada BC “Established Director Greenlight Award” in 2023. Mrs. Chang’s Perfect Teeth premiered at the DGC Spotlight in November, 2024. Armageddon Road is in post-production and will be completed in the late summer of 2025.
